* Our Eco Hoops are made from a blend of HD/LD PE that is at least 50% recycled content. The waste stream that provides the recycled content is predominantly milk bottles and other post-consumer containers.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
As someone who has used, and made, every type of hoop under the sun, I can assure you - hoop joiners are important. If you have a well joined hoop, you're going to be loving that hoop up for a very long time. But if the join/s are loose, stiff, awkward, rattly, or weak - who knows how long your hoop love will last and that broken hoop is going to last a long time in landfill!
Over three decades of hooping and hoop making, segmented hoops have always disappointed - they can be difficult to connect, unstable, rattly and expensive. More landfill.
What about coiling? This entirely depends on the type of tubing your hoop is made from and ultimately, requires a special blend of polymers - hello Eco Hoop!
We've been shipping fully assembled hoops for the past two decades. While mostly doable, this has had its own set of issues including damaged or lost hoops in the post and excessive packaging materials and labour.
How did we resolve the issue?
Our new eco hoops are made from a mixed blend of recycled HDPE plastic that is strong, flexible and remembers its shape. Coupled with our new joiner, this blend allows us to coil hoops to get them to you quickly and safely in a box.
We weight the tubing in the manufacturing process with precise weights based on user preferences gathered over decades of hooping with thousands of people.
Our custom-made joiner is made from aerospace aluminium and is machined at our hoop HQ in Sydney. Easy to connect and disconnect. No more bruised thumbs or jammed joiners (or fingers). This new joiner has been designed and manufactured to serve the hoop as the hoop demands. It’s strong, smooth to operate, looks sleek and is the finishing piece to make a hoop that will last a lifetime.
